DESCRIPTION:Dr. Paul Kovalski\, GTHA member and Dentist by profession\, retired as Chief of Dental Services at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital\, New Jersey Department of Health. \nKovalski is fascinated by the secrets hidden in bones\, ancient and modern\, and is well known as “Dr. Dinosaur” for his paleontological discoveries. He is also a tree enthusiast. \nWhen Paul served as a Marlboro Township Councilman\, he set out to save the “Marlboro Tree\,” a gigantic old willow which was the largest in the state. \nHis guided hike will highlight the more than 25 varieties of trees beloved by the Pinchot family.\n \n\nThis is an easy walk (many seniors have attended in the past).\nWe will likely stay on the “paved” trails. However\, sturdy shoes are recommended.\nMeet at the lower parking lot by the Pavilion.\n\nThe walk is free for Members / $10 for General Public

The food floated on the water in wooden bowls and balsa rafts. The opening in the wisteria-covered pergola permitted moonlight to radiate across the water.

DESCRIPTION:Kindred Spirits Arts Programs is proud to present the Dolphins String Quartet as its first concert of 2026\, held in Grey Towers’ beautiful Great Room. \nFormed at The Juilliard School and based in New York City\, the Dolphins Quartet is a dynamic ensemble and composer collective dedicated to making chamber music vibrant\, relevant\, and deeply personal. DESCRIPTION:Please note that due to the impending weather\, this event will take place on Sunday\, April 26.\nArt at Grey Towers: A Celebration of Creativity and Heritage\nThis outdoor air art event will offer a glimpse into the artists’ technique while they showcase their craft. The artists will also be selling some of their works. \nThe Pinchots\, renowned for their contributions to conservation and social justice\, were also ardent patrons of the arts. James and Mary Pinchot provided support\, encouragement\, and a residence for many Hudson River School artists who found inspiration in Milford and its surrounds. These include Sanford Gifford\, John Weir\, and Worthington Whittredge\, among others. \nThis art show carries on a cherished family tradition. The Pinchots understood the importance of nurturing creativity and supporting emerging talent. We are thrilled to offer this platform for local artists to perform and share their work with the community. \nThe event will feature a diverse range of artistic expressions\, allowing attendees to engage with the artists and learn about their creative processes. Artwork will be available for purchase\, providing an opportunity to support local talent and acquire unique pieces. \nEnjoy the grounds of this historic site while discovering the diverse talents of the region’s artistic community. Gifford’s diary writings over a twenty-year period indicate that he connected regularly with Laura Houghteling after her death from tuberculosis shortly before they were to be married. \nDiscover the origins of spiritualism\, Gifford Pinchot’s spiritual relationship with Laura after her untimely death\, and the significance of the contents of a blue Tiffany box. \nRev. DESCRIPTION:A unique dining experience in support of a special cause\, Grey Towers Legacy Scholarship program. \n\nMusic from the 1930s and 40s will float across the air.\nHistoric summer fare reflecting a Pinchot dinner around the Finger Bowl.\n\n  \nSeating is limited.  \nTicket/seat: $125 Finger Bowl (Chairs encircle the water-filled table) – SOLD OUT \nTicket/seat: $100 Finger Bowl Pergola Table (Tables throughout the pergola area) \n100% of the proceeds raised from this dinner support the scholarship fund. \n\n\nThe Finger Bowl\nThe Finger Bowl served as the Pinchots’ outdoor dining room\, the Grey Towers landscape’s most popular feature. \nAdded in 1934\, the unique water-filled table was the site of many lively discussions about politics\, social issues\, and conservation efforts. The food floated on the water in wooden bowls and balsa rafts. The opening in the wisteria-covered pergola permitted moonlight to radiate across the water.
