Ice Cream Social for Gifford Pinchot’s Birthday & free Concert by House of Hamill

Help us celebrate Gifford’s birthday with our traditional Ice Cream Social then sit back and enjoy the beautiful Celtic music provided for your pleasure by Kindred Spirits Arts.

Be sure to stop by the reception tables near the lower parking lot to pick up your timed tickets for free ice cream!

All Day = Tour the Grounds: Vehicle gates are open from 9 am – 4:30 pm. Folks have access to the grounds through the pedestrian gates for daylight hours.

11:30 am – 3:00 pm =  Gift Shop

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm = Stage Craft Youth Ensemble
will present “Cloudy with a Chance of Ice Cream” an interactive show and DJ dance party for children of all ages at the Pool Terrace.

12 pm – 3 pm = Ticketed Self-guided Museum Tour 
$10, includes the first floor of Grey Towers and special exhibits

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm = Children’s Crafts
Kids can participate in coloring images of the Grey Towers mansion or Smokey Bear under the covered Pool Terrace.

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm = Free Ice Cream Social

1:45 pm – 3:45 pm = House of Hamill: Upcycled Celtic Folk 
In the Amphitheater. Our special thanks to Kindred Spirits Arts for providing this free concert featuring House of Hamill, an award-winning trio, to delight and excite our audiences with their fresh take on familiar and new Celtic folk songs.

Their original song “Banks of the Brandywine” was a Grand Prize winner in the 2024 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and the video for their all-violin cover of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” amassed over 16 million views on Facebook, where it was shared over 400,000 times.
