Lunch & Learn: Restoring tree species for ecosystem health
In this talk, Leila Wilson will provide an overview of tree species restoration – what this entails, why this is important, and how species restoration can help mitigate the mounting challenges faced by our forests.
Dr. Cornelia (Leila Pinchot) Wilson is a research ecologist with the United States Forest Service Northern Research Station. Her research focuses on restoring tree species impacted by non-native pests and pathogens, namely American elm and American chestnut. She is based in Delaware, OH, where she lives with her husband and two young children.
