Pinchot Lawn Picnic
The spirit of an early 20th century’s formal picnic on the grounds of Grey Towers.
GTHA invites everyone to bring their family and friends to the great lawn at Grey Towers National Historic Site with their own picnic spread. The best-themed picnics and guest attire will win prizes!!
Enjoy Ronny Whyte and Amy London along with their bands performing the Great American Songbook while watching artists work at “lost arts” such as spinning, weaving, lacemaking, quilting, and whittling. There will be a falconry exhibit and flight demonstrations! We will also be offering old-fashioned children’s games, watercolor painting lessons, and home movies of Pinchot lawn parties of the past.
Cotton candy, ices, and popcorn as well as brown bag lunches will be available to purchase.
