Star Gazing on the East Lawn

The evening will begin with storytelling about constellations from around the world and more on the East Lawn.

Then we’ll gaze and learn about the stars with our gifted speakers and avid astronomers Jared Simister from the USDA Forest Service and George Preoteasa who will walk you across the night sky.

• Exploring the Stars hands-on youth activities.
• Bring your blankets so you can easily look up at the sky.
• You are also welcome to bring your own telescopes to set up.
• Wear appropriate, flat footwear as you will be walking in very low lighting.
