Reading Rangers: The Midnight Forest
August 10, 2026
10:00 am - 11:00 am
Today’s topic is recreating outdoors and the protection of natural resources. A topic that was important to Gifford Pinchot the First Chief of the US Forest Service.
The book will be The Midnight Forest.
The activity will be a craft.
Each week, children will be read a book and then complete an activity. All participants must have a parent or guardian with them during the program. Our program includes read-aloud stories focusing on environmentalism and conservation, read by a Forest Service Ranger and volunteers.
We are proud to promote the Forest 250 initiative to inspire our younger guests to become good stewards of the land.
