Reading Ranger: Bound to Dream
July 13, 2026
10:00 am - 11:00 am
Today’s topic will be history is our family’s story and every family’s story.
The book will be Bound to Dream.
The activity will be a craft.
A heartwarming picture book about Carlo, a young Italian immigrant in 1800s New York City, that celebrates books and family as it instills the values of heritage, perseverance, and the love of learning.
Each week, children will be read a book and then complete an activity. All participants must have a parent or guardian with them during the program. Our program includes read-aloud stories focusing on environmentalism and conservation, read by a Forest Service Ranger and volunteers.
We are proud to promote the Forest 250 initiative to inspire our younger guests to become good stewards of the land.
