Pin Oak

The branches of pin oak are studded with short, stiff pin-like shoots. Pin oak has an attractive form, grows well, and tolerates urban smog. Of all of the oak varieties, pin oak is probably the most extensively planted ornamental. Its very small acorns are a favorite of wood ducks and other wildlife.
